Applique Process
Once the art has been approved by you and approved in-house, the art department will begin the appliqué process.
First, the art team uses a plotter to draw out your exact artwork on paper so it's in the correct size to be given to the production team as a pattern. While that's happening, our designers take the approved artwork and create digital files to be sent to the laser that will precisely cut the letters and shapes needed for your project.
Once the pattern and digital files are ready, they are given to the production team. Production then uses the pattern and laser-cut files to reproduce the approved design onto nylon or tackle twill (also known as poly twill) fabrics. The individual design pieces are arranged with the pattern to make sure it is completely accurate then adhered to the banner with heat.
The banner is then handed off to our seamstress, who uses the stitched and sewn method known as appliqué to complete the project. Once it is finished being sewn, it goes through a strict quality control check, then is ironed and rolled for easier handling, and finally sent to you!
